December @ the library!

 December Happenings at the Library:

4th - Front Porch Photos (by appointment)
Back by popular demand! Call the library to schedule a time for Sierra to come and take your family's picture on your front porch. Your photo will be edited and then emailed back to you for your printing convenience. You can request your photo be taken at Harley-Davidson Rally Point if you prefer.
*Must be in Sturgis City Limits.

6th - LEGOS at the Library 3-5pm
Stop in and build with us. All ages are welcome to join. We supply the blocks, you bring the creativity!

7th - Wonder Math 3:30-4:30pm
Join Richard Moeller, a technology and math enthusiast, for STEAM-powered fun.

9th - Novel Readers & Eaters (Youth Book Club)
Join us for novel discussions and snacks. Bring the book you are currently reading and join us!

(Library closed from 11:30-1:30pm on Dec. 9th)

13th thru 18th Cookbook Collection Blowout
A book sale as sweet as pie! Take your pick, we have cookbooks for every taste. Stop by the library for this limited sale on Cookbooks from past and present. By donation only. Proceeds benefit our Children's Programs. Join us to WRAP-UP this fun event at our Wrapping party on Sat. the 18th!

13th - Kids CheckedOUT (6+) 3:30-5pm
Join us at the library for another evening of crafty games and activities!

15th - Books on Tap (21+) 6-7pm @ The Oasis Bar & Lounge
Join us to discuss the "Hallmark" or holiday themed book you have read this month.

16th - Youth Yoga (8+) 4-5pm
An hour of mindful stretching and silliness for youth ages 8 and up.

18th - Gift Wrapping Party 11-3pm
Bring the gift you can’t wrap at home and join in on the fun. We will supply wrapping paper and other essentials, or you can bring your own if you’d like. Everyone is invited, cocoa and cookies will be served. ** If you have wrapping supplies you would like to donate to the library, you can drop them off anytime -before Dec. 18th.

20th - Reindeer Games 1-5pm
Kids can drop in and play holiday games for the afternoon. We'll have Red Nose Bingo, Reindeer Charades, Popcorn, and more!

21st - Kids Cookie Party 1-4:30pm
Ages 6+ can join us for an afternoon of Holiday cookie baking & decorating. Younger children must have a parent/guardian present.

22nd - Wii Wednesday 1-5pm
Come in and play our Wii with friends and family.

23rd - C.A.W. for Youth (8+) 1-3pm
Join us for a special edition of our Creative Art & Writing (C.A.W.) Youth Club. We will be practicing our painting with a step-by-step paint along by Artist's Palette Durham.

27th - Board Games & Puzzles 1-4pm
All ages are welcome to play!

28th - Make a Zine! 1-4pm
Create your own New Year Zine for you, your friends, and your family
to enjoy! It's like a magazine, but a bit cooler.

29th - New Year's Hats 1-4pm
We'll supply baseball caps and supplies for you to decorate your own New Year's Eve party hat. Stop by between 1 and 4pm to get in on this fun, before the year is over!
