Our April Artists of the Month are from the Black Hills Art Association. BHAA is a group of amateur and professional artists of the Northern Black Hills and surrounding area whose goal is to encourage and promote the arts in our area.
They are celebrating their 54th year in 2016. It was founded in 1962 by Phillis "Boots" Keller, a well-known "colorful character" of Lead, SD. There are currently about 30 members from Sturgis, Lead, Spearfish, Belle Fourche, Newell, and Rapid City.
