On Tuesday, October 8th at 7:00 P.M. in the Sturgis Public Library's Program Room we will be showing and discussing the film Prince Among Slaves.  This PBS film recounts the story of one man among the tens of thousands of African Muslims brought to America through slave trade.
 
Bridging Cultures: Muslim Journeys
The Sturgis Area Arts Council and the Sturgis Public Library are participating in Bridging Cultures: Muslim Journeys, a joint project of the National Endowment for the Humanities and the American Library Association brought to us through the South Dakota Humanities Council.
