Our August Artists of the Month are from the Black Hills Art Association. BHAA is a group of amateur and professional artists of the Northern Black Hills and surrounding area whose goal is to encourage and promote the arts in our area.
They are celebrating their 55th year in 2017. It was founded in 1962 by Phyllis "Boots" Keller, a well-known "colorful character" of Lead, SD. There are currently members from Sturgis, Lead, Spearfish, Deadwood, and Rapid City.
